KEY SCRIPTURE: Titus 2:11-12
Globally, nationally and locally, we are all at a crossroad and often confronted by situations which demand that we make choices.
As a result of the technological advancement in our current era, we are exposed and bombarded with lots of information which often influences our decision.
However, it is important to remember that there are things we must say yes to and there are others that require for us to say No to. This is because it takes grace for us to say no.
Saying no simply means to reject something that is wrong; denying what is not true and what is not acceptable.
WHY MUST WE SAY NO?
- Saying no can save lives and secure futures. Proverbs 22:3
- We are living in the evil days and we must redeem time.
- Saying no will help us please the one who called us; God. For instance, Joseph said no to Potiphar’s wife in Genesis 39:9-10 in order to please God.
We must say no in order to keep our garments unspotted in readiness of the coming of our savior.
- We are human, and we’re limited in various ways yet, there are many things we must accomplish.
- Saying no will protect us from being taken advantage of and being abused. We are living in evil days and we ought to learn to say no. As a result we will secure our life and everything pertaining to it.
May God grant us the grace and courage to say no prayerfully, lovingly, gently respectively and firmly. Amen.
